Maurus Wollensak
 
Maurus Wollensak, Visiting Scholar

Maurus Wollensak is a master's student in international law at the Geneva Graduate Institute, currently participating in the Swiss Mobility program at the University of Zurich and ETH Zurich. With a strong foundation in law, including public international and European law, Maurus has diverse professional experiences, such as assisting Prof. Dr. August Reinisch at the International Law Commission, Prof. Dr. Alexander Proelß with his research in the field of the law of the sea and interning at the German Federal Maritime and Hydrographic Agency. His research focus, "Computational Approaches to General Public International Law," reflects Maurus's interdisciplinary approach to enhance legal data accessibility and quality in public international law. Fluent in German and English, Maurus is actively involved in extracurricular activities, including volunteering for VELOVE UZH and formerly serving as a Lay Assessor at the Lower Regional Court (Hamburg).

 

Ryohei Hisano

Ryohei Hisano, Visiting Scholar

Ryohei Hisano serves as a Lecturer at the Mathematics and Informatics Center and the Department of Mathematical Informatics, part of the Graduate School of Information Science and Technology at the University of Tokyo. He received his doctorate (Dr. sc ETH Zurich) from ETH Zurich. Following this, he has undertaken postdoctoral roles at ETH Zurich, the National Institute of Informatics, and the University of Tokyo. His research specializes in the development of network mining and semantic web methods, with a focus on their application in finance and legal studies. In addition to his research, he is deeply involved in data science education, teaching at both the Mathematics and Informatics Center at the University of Tokyo and the University of Tokyo's Data Science School.
